Encountering the adorable Kumamon | The first Kumamoto Prefecture Culture and Tourism Sharing Session has successfully concluded!

Kumamoto Prefecture, located in central Kyushu, Japan, is renowned for its unique natural scenery and rich history and culture. It boasts Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan’s three most famous castles, whose imposing ancient walls bear witness to the prefecture’s historical evolution. Kumamoto is also famous for its natural landscapes, such as Suizenji Park, with its picturesque scenery that changes with the seasons, attracting numerous tourists. Furthermore, Kumamoto is a major agricultural prefecture, producing abundant citrus fruits such as oranges and grapes. In particular, “Kumamon,” the prefecture’s mascot, has become a global sensation with its adorable image, representing the prefecture to the fullest.

We hope that through these sharing sessions, we can not only provide the people of Shaanxi with a window to experience the charm of Kumamoto Prefecture firsthand, but also open up new avenues for the promotion of tourism and culture in Kumamoto Prefecture. We look forward to deepening cooperation in more areas to jointly elevate the friendly relations between our two regions to a new level. We welcome your valuable opinions and suggestions.

The second Kumamoto Cultural Tourism Sharing Session will be held on February 18th. Those interested are welcome to contact us to register. The Kumamoto Cultural Tourism Photography Exhibition is still ongoing; everyone is welcome to visit.
