With the support of the Kumamoto Prefectural Government and the Kumamoto Tourism Federation, a delegation from the organizing committee paid a visit to the Kumamoto Prefectural Government. They held a meeting with Emi Hiramatsu, International Tourism Officer of the Tourism Promotion Division, and Rie Toyota, Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the Kumamoto Tourism Federation.
The two representatives extended a warm welcome to the delegation regarding the friendly exchange initiatives. During the meeting, they had in-depth discussions concerning the upcoming youth cultural and art exchange group and the “Goodwill Ambassador” study tour to be organized by the committee. The Kumamoto Prefectural Government’s Tourism Promotion Division and the Kumamoto Tourism Federation expressed their full support for the committee’s work and pledged to provide all necessary assistance and convenience.
The foundation of China-Japan relations lies in the people-to-people ties, and the long-term, stable development of our bilateral relationship requires our two peoples to deepen their mutual understanding. The organizing committee will also call upon more peace-loving friends to work together to help the Japanese public see the real China.
China and Japan are close neighbors separated only by a strip of water, with inextricable links dating back to ancient times. Among these connections, cultural and people-to-people exchanges have always played a vital role. Since the normalization of diplomatic relations, these exchanges have entered a new, dynamic phase, creating the conditions and environment for the improvement and development of China-Japan relations and continuously strengthening the public support base.
With the support of the Kumamoto Prefectural Government, the organizing committee will also organize various exchange delegations to visit Kumamoto, focusing on areas such as cultural and creative product development, calligraphy, painting, music, architecture, and cuisine. We will actively strive to further promote cultural exchanges between China and Japan.
