Council Member’s Guide to Sister Cities: Exploring Chuy Region, Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan – Marking the 10th anniversary of the sister-province relationship between Shaanxi Province and the Chuy Region of Kyrgyzstan, the “Silk Road Blooms · Encounter Shaanxi” Organizing Committee embarked on a high-level mission to Bishkek on November 18, 2024. The visit aimed to deepen bilateral ties and pioneer new models of cooperation in modern agriculture.

Inaugurating a New Era of Trade and Technology
A highlight of the mission was the “Silk Road Blooms · Shaanxi Meets Kyrgyzstan Business Matchmaking Conference.” The event was honored by the presence of Temir Sariyev, former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, who witnessed a landmark signing ceremony with the Agricultural Research Institute. This agreement on a Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Industry Cooperation Project signifies a breakthrough, shifting the focus from traditional trade to a “Technology + Industry” collaborative model, thus opening a new chapter in cross-border cooperation.
