The “Sea Moment” series of works

Inspired by his beachcombing experiences on Bansean Beach in Bangkok, the artist captured the vibrant corals, lively anemones, and graceful jellyfish he encountered on high-temperature ceramics. Utilizing the fluidity and kiln-transformation effects of the high-temperature materials, the artwork uses a bluish-green glaze to simulate the shimmering light of seawater, with delicate engravings replicating the textures of marine life. It freezes the vibrant moment of seawater onto the porcelain plate and decorative painting, allowing viewers to touch the dynamic poetry of the ocean amidst the interplay of glazes.

《Twins》

uses the anemone and poppy as its central imagery to interpret the symbiosis and confrontation of two life forms. One embodies the tranquility of the deep sea, the other carries the intensity of the world, yet through the interplay of color and form, they become each other’s footnotes. The artist uses abstract visual language to depict the inseparable bond between these two life forms, subtly alluding to the symbiotic nature of tenderness and obsession within humanity.

This work was selected for the 10th Beijing International Art Biennale.

《Lion》

The lion imagery, crafted from mixed media, possesses immense visual tension. Within the central circular ceramic panel, the lion’s head is presented through a vibrant patchwork of colors and textured details. The contrasting colors of blue, red, and orange break away from traditional lion imagery, imbuing it with a modern artistic dynamism and abstract beauty. A red and gold lacquer background creates a grand and imposing atmosphere, while the gold-textured lacquer border enhances the work’s sense of ceremony and weight.
