On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Shaanxi Province and Sukhothai Province, Thailand, on April 24, 2025, a delegation from the organizing committee of “Silk Road Blossoms, Encountering Shaanxi” traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, to hold a friendly dialogue with Mr. Li Wenhua, Director of the East Asia Division of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Upon parting, the organizing committee presented Director Li Wenhua with a specially commissioned calligraphy scroll inscribed with the words “Silk Road Blossoms – Shaanxi Meets Sukhothai.” Each stroke carries the deep affection of Shaanxi for Sukhothai Province and symbolizes the enduring legacy of cultural exchange between China and Thailand. Representatives from both sides posed for a group photo, capturing this warm moment of cultural fusion.
From Chang’an to Bangkok, from the ancient Silk Road to the Belt and Road Initiative, the friendship between China and Thailand remains ever-growing. In the future, “Silk Road Blossoms – Meeting Shaanxi” will continue to use culture as a bond to write a new chapter of win-win cooperation between the two countries!
