On March 22, 2025, a symposium was held at the Science Museum of Xi’an Jiaotong University’s Xingqing Campus to explore new models for cooperation and development between Latin America and Xi’an Jiaotong University. The meeting was chaired by Chang Yunfeng (International Cooperation Ambassador of Xi’an Jiaotong University), Director of the “Silk Road Blossoms, Encountering Shaanxi” Organizing Committee.
The “Silk Road Blossoms, Encounter Shaanxi” organizing committee has achieved another fruitful result! With the committee’s active promotion, Xi’an Jiaotong University has officially established strategic partnerships with universities and institutions in several Latin American countries to jointly explore a new model of international collaboration integrating “education + science and technology + culture.” This cross-Pacific partnership not only injects new momentum into the Belt and Road Initiative but also allows the ancient capital of Xi’an to jointly draw a development blueprint with the vibrant Latin America!
From the ancient camel trails to the digital Silk Road, the “Silk Road Blossoms, Encounter Shaanxi” organizing committee is using culture as a medium and technology as a bridge to write a new chapter in the history of Shaanxi. We look forward to more global partners joining this vibrant land to jointly create an open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial future!
