On August 4, a grand cultural event was added to the calendar of the ancient capital of Xi’an. The “From Chang’an to Rome” Italian Modern Art Exchange Exhibition, hosted by the “Glorious Silk Road Embracing Shaanxi” Organizing Committee, was grandly inaugurated in Xi’an.
This exhibition is not merely an artistic dialogue transcending time and space; it holds special political and cultural significance. As the first key exchange activity in the field of culture and art between China and Italy following the visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to China, it is regarded as a vivid practice of implementing the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and deepening bilateral mutual trust.
The success of the exhibition is inseparable from the strong support of high-level officials. Counsellor Andrea Anguissola of the Italian Embassy in China paid great attention to the event and provided comprehensive and vigorous support. From the guidance on the curatorial concept to the coordination of resources, Counsellor Anguissola’s professional guidance provided a solid guarantee for the high-standard presentation of the exhibition. This ensured that the artistic feast could accurately convey the unique charm of Italian modern art, further consolidating the foundation of cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Italy within the framework of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
